The modern-class guided-missile destroyer, called Type 956, belongs to the third-generation destroyer of the Russian Navy. The ship was designed by the Northern Design Bureau of the Soviet Union in 1970 and delivered to the Leningrad Zhdanov shipyard after the completion of the construction design in 1976. Built in St. Petersburg North Shipyard. The first ship "Modern" was completed and commissioned in 1980.
